Vision and first research

The idea to apply graphene nanotechnology to disinfection and biological protection took shape, with early research into graphene's antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties, aimed from the start at practical use.

INTERMERCATUS BioTech Inc. was established in the US as the holding entity, acquiring shares in INTERMERCATUS Services Limited in London. The Polish group is led by INTERMERCATUS BioTech S.A. in Warsaw under Ryszard Pikula. Six private investors joined in December 2025, with talks opened across the UAE, Morocco and Turkey.
